Westown, Lulukoko Village, and Tsuyukusa Town helped elevate this game over past entries in the series. They are just so magnetic, so full of life and color, that I would often skip watering my crops to just get a little more time in these towns. Sure, my farm suffered and my progression slowed, but it was worth it to be swept off my feet by the charisma of these villages.

@Luigivaldo Of the games listed here, Friends of Mineral Town or More Friends of Mineral Town are among the best. The original SNES entry is still good and a nice little bit of history. Honestly, though, if you have a Switch.. you might just be better off playing the Mineral Town remake and/or Rune Factory 5 (or 4 Special). Without the nostalgia, the older entries might just feel somewhat archaic.
I own physical copies of all of them already, that's how you actually own these games, not by downloading them on your 3DS or Wii U. If your system develops a failure, you're out of luck. The cartridges are practically indestructible. They are not even very expensive unless you also want a pristine cardboard box.
The DLC for this under-appreciated crossover between Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton adds two types of content: 12 mini-scenarios (with puzzles) and an art gallery with over 60 illustrations, plus development insight. Apparently, you'll have to finish the entire game to access the DLC, though, so this one might be a bit tricky to get in time! Once you have finished the story, the DLC will appear in the menu as "Extra Content".
Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is tricky to categorise, because it's technically all DLC, but it's really worth downloading to check out Nintendo's short-lived experimentation with microtransaction haggling. There are minigames in Rusty's Real Deal Baseball that you can buy, and then through playing them, you can earn items to help you lower the prices of the other minigames. Genius.

It's my least favourite of the modern FE games, suffers by having far too many characters, the generational stuff is nonsensical and a somewhat unsatisfying story but the game is still great. The core gameplay is refined over awakening and the music is excellent. I put more hours into it than any other 3ds games across the three routes...Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome then! ?

The main objective of the series is to rebuild a dilapidated old farm and turn it into a successful one. Bringing in new residents to the town is key, but doing so will require a great deal of hard work. The Construction Workshop and Town Renovation Plan add the ability to create new and interesting places for potential residents to occupy making this game innovative and engrossing, to say the least. A New Beginning is engrossing and fun to play, but the game can take a while to get into thanks to the extensive tutorials and slow beginning.
Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands was a game for Nintendo DS that released in 2009. The game took players away from the normal small-town farm setting and introduced them to an island farm. The game allows the player to pick from their gender and is a step up from the DS title Island of Happiness, which also featured the Sunshine Islands.
